Special speakers Bill Fortney and Jim Begley coming to Liberty University next week!

Legendary photographer, Bill Fortney, will be speaking at Liberty University on Tuesday, April 17 at 7pm in DeMoss Hall room 3028. Fortney will also be joined by HDR specialist, Jim Begley, who is nationally known for his high-dynamic range photo paintings.

Liberty photo students can attend a special HDR workshop with Begley on Monday, April 16 at 4pm in DeMoss Hall room 2176. Begley will be explaining in-depth his HDR workflow and sharing how he created some of his most memorable prints. You can see more of Jim’s work by visiting his website here.

Nikon Technical Representative, Bill Fortney, is finishing up his 43rd year as a professional photographer. His insight into both the technical as well as the creative sides of photography is extensive. Bill is a nationally known landscape/nature photographer in high demand as a special speaker. Fortney has led photo workshops to every national park in the United States multiple times. He also has several books to his credit, his most recent one being, America from 500 feet II. Fortney and Begley will be addressing LU photo students only at 10am and again at 12:20pm in DeMoss 2176 on Tuesday (4/17) afternoon. You can see more of Fortney’s work by visiting his website here.

Fortney and Begley will wrap up their time at Liberty by co-leading an inspirational evening together for the general public on Tuesday evening, April 17, from 7 to 9pm in DeMoss room 3028. Everyone is invited to attend this event! Both photographers will be available for questions, autographs and to meet with personally immediately after the event concludes.
