Photo class field trip time and place announced!

April 5, 2011

Yates Mill, Raleigh, NC

This semester’s photography class field trip will be on Saturday, April 23! We will be going to the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. First stop will be at Yates Mill, an old-fashioned grist mill originally built in 1756. Next up will be a stop at the beautiful, meticulously manicured formal gardens of Sarah P. Duke Gardens on the campus of Duke University. Showing no partiality between rival schools Duke and UNC, after lunch, we will visit the North Carolina Botanical Gardens on the campus of UNC, Chapel Hill. All three of these destinations will offer incredible photographic opportunities. Please feel free to visit the websites of all are destinations to see further details about what’s available. There is no cost for admission at any of the venues. We will be carpooling and you are encouraged to bring $5 or so to help cover the cost of gas. Bring a sack lunch or small cooler, camera, tripod, sunscreen and be ready for a fun time shooting! We will meet at 6:30 am in front of Doc’s Diner to head out. Sign up in your respective photography classes between now and the event. Remember, this is a great extra credit opportunity! See ya there!–MR I
